I am wondering if the original pieces are available so will contact Viktory themselves for some more info. I really like the potential of this game as an imagi - nation tool kit and the - especially as they are hard plastic - would be extremely useful for this and even allowing for shipping from the US are very cheap if purchased separately.

I will let you know how I get on.

All the best,

DCDavid Crookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02497436789811496047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-51099222485335150302012-09-16T09:33:37.965+01:002012-09-16T09:33:37.965+01:00Hi Jim,

I preferred the more 'toy soldier' pieces of Viktory I; those in VII are more 'realistic' but this seems inappropriate to such a stylised game.
Arthurarthur1815https://www.blogger.com/profile/12333670394529977263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-50477710525912585822012-09-15T09:09:06.813+01:002012-09-15T09:09:06.813+01:00Hi Steve,

I read the 'history' of the game and originally it started life as a 19th century based game rather than specifically Napoleonic. Trouble is, shipping this from the US would be expensive.

All the best,

DCDavid Crookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02497436789811496047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-4171636755077300022012-09-15T00:21:00.058+01:002012-09-15T00:21:00.058+01:00Very nice find, David. So it is very abstract, and kind of gamey, but I enjoyed it. The only reason I never purchased it is the steep price tag and the dearth of interested players in my gaming group.
Great bits, though.
Regards,
John
The Ferrymenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07741552972862333515noreply@blogger.com
