The said 'Heroic' Gladiator ran all over the arena running from the blows that would otherwise killed him early, only to return to try a ineffective gnats attack when he knew his oponents back was turned.

I think the emperor only spared him for his own private amusement.....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-68723409021630586082010-09-20T12:42:41.908+01:002010-09-20T12:42:41.908+01:00Roma Victor!Roma Victor!Paul O'Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08611720164170399684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-71833640127641232812010-09-19T09:44:03.084+01:002010-09-19T09:44:03.084+01:00Hi Tas,

I quite like the look of 'Munera Sine Missione' available from www.freewargamesrules.co.uk under Ancients. Back in the early 80's I used to play Rudis by Tabletop Games quite a lot.

As long as they are fast, easy to use, have provision for figure facing (EM4's rules do not!)and enable us to quote vast chunks of dialogue from any one of a number of Gladiator type films then they are fine by me!

"What we do in the club/man cave, echoes down through eternity....."

Cheers,

DCDavid Crookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02497436789811496047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-19770356728146488952010-09-18T23:48:46.942+01:002010-09-18T23:48:46.942+01:00"The time for honouring yourself will soon be..."The time for honouring yourself will soon be at an end...." :-)

Great write-up, I love Gladiator games too.
