I still have a look at the Plastic Soldier Review site now and then just wallow in a bit of nostalgia:).Steve J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12143308117853983963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-84571748249844106022019-08-21T10:32:40.972+01:002019-08-21T10:32:40.972+01:00Hi Bob,

In much the same way as Memoir '44 and Battle Cry are concerned using miniatures 'feels' like a 'proper' wargame in a way that counters or even, dare I say it, wooden blocks. the figures in the Hold the Line series are perfectly usable and certainly look the part. Longer term I may well look to Spencer Smith the figures element.

The 30mm ACW Spencer Smith collection will look fantastic once I get my hands on it and have completed the bases. I shall be posting a full review in due course and will also look to get some games in as a matter of some urgency. This will entail some other work around terrain etc but I am on the case with that.

All the best,

DCDavid Crookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02497436789811496047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-86305522996911688892019-08-21T10:12:50.173+01:002019-08-21T10:12:50.173+01:00David,

The 18th century America stuff sounds particularly interesting, even though it's not a period I've gamed much, and the 30mm ACW figures look stunning! I am very envious, and if I wasn't up to my ears in other projects, I'd be looking at doing something similar myself.

All the best,

BobRobert (Bob) Corderyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13109130990434792266noreply@blogger.com
