I am using 2mm round cornered MDF painted in Humbrol Matt 25 (and yes, it is an enamel paint) with waves dry brushed on. The name label I typed in Arial 10 Bold and then printed on a sticky label sheet (A4 sized - the whole sheet is in effect one label), cut to size and stuck to the base. The ensigns are 1/600th scale and are printed for me by Tony at Brigade Models.

Overall they look rather fetching.

All the best,

DCDavid Crookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02497436789811496047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-87028324517103241132018-05-21T21:24:13.095+01:002018-05-21T21:24:13.095+01:00They look excellent and from the pictures I can...They look excellent and from the pictures I can't tell of the mold lines etc. Love the basing it looks great.Simon Quinton https://www.blogger.com/profile/18001946192905517180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-20965764841261943232018-05-21T11:03:12.262+01:002018-05-21T11:03:12.262+01:00Hi Bob,

Some of the models are better than others but with a quick lick of paint they come up rather well. they are quite a table friendly size and so I am pleased I opted to persevere with them.

I hope to have them in action over the bank holiday weekend.

All the best,

DCDavid Crookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02497436789811496047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-28962313470524130672018-05-21T10:38:46.993+01:002018-05-21T10:38:46.993+01:00David,

GHQ they are not but they are fit for purpose and suit the space I have available at home very nicely. Capital ships come out at around 1/3800 to 1/4000th.

All the best,

DCDavid Crookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02497436789811496047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-64815275175463686292018-05-21T08:41:59.143+01:002018-05-21T08:41:59.143+01:00Great models and very nicely based as well. The painting technique was suggested to me by Tim Gow and it works a treat - as well as being pretty quick to do. The only thing I would change is to pay a little more attention to cleaning up the models first of all - when you enlarge the photos the mould lines look rather impressive!

All the best,

DCDavid Crookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02497436789811496047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-36917751327484203212018-05-21T07:45:26.789+01:002018-05-21T07:45:26.789+01:00Wonderful painting at this scale, impressive!Wonderful painting at this scale, impressive!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472889370304077924.post-333199243292044502018-05-21T05:40:53.193+01:002018-05-21T05:40:53.193+01:00Hi Greg,
