One of St. Custards finest....
I can only assume that the varnish had settled in the tin from the time of its last outing and although I shook it to within an inch of its life I neglected to stir the contents. A very basic error and I am sure I am not the only gamer to have done this!
I have just finished re varnishing them with a properly stirred and shaken tin whilst simultaneously feeling suitably chastened thereby scotching the rumour about men and multi-tasking.
Ho hum....;-)
As setback mate, annoying but temporary only!
ReplyDeleteDavid,
ReplyDeleteThis is one reason why I tend to gloss varnish most of my stuff; I kept finding that the matt was never matt, even if I shook and stirred the tin for hours!
I am sure that they will turn out all right in the end.
All the best,
Bob

Hi Bob,
ReplyDeleteI was srely tempted to leave them as was but lacked the courage to stay with the decison so matt it is and matt they(now)are!
All the best,

Not to worry, worse things happen at sea or in the inshore waters of the North American continent between 1861 and 1865 ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Geordie,
ReplyDeleteYou could add the English Channel to that as well!
All the best,
