A Finnish MS 406 - I have four of these which will be repainted into Turkish colours
Finally, after 6 weeks or so, my order from Stonewall arrived with a whole lot of WW1 naval related goodies! The new castings are much better and are very crisp in terms of definition and once I have sorted them out I will be posting some pictures.
I also received four of the above aircraft which will provide the teeth for the Turkish air force (after a repaint of course!) circa early 1941.
The Emperor: "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen."
Well not exactly but you get the drift....
Something...something...something spitfire?
ReplyDeleteHi Mr Kinch,
ReplyDeleteThe Spitfires I own (Mk1s) will be going to the RAF although will be painted in a desert scheme. Strictly speaking this is bending the historical record slightly as the only Spitfires I can identify with certainty thus attired were later variants.
Still, it is no worse than having Turkey fighting on the side of the Axis....
The MS406 is a rather nice aircraft - described by Bob Cordery as being 'the French Hurricane'.
All the best,
DC
We get the drift David.
ReplyDeleteHi Fran,
ReplyDelete"The dark side of the force is the pathway to many abilities - some considered to be unnatural...."
I am not planning to take over the galaxy (that's next week) but it is good to have several pieces of the project jigsaw fall into place in one hit!
All the best,
DC
Nice model - and I think its great when someone takes on an 'out of the ordinary' period. I will watch with interest.

Hi Phil,
ReplyDeleteThe Middle Eastern project will be a slow burner in many respects but I have managed to acquire a reasonable amount of kit to kick it off with. Once the ships are done it is next on the paint tray - along with the aircraft for the theatre as well (and they will probably be done first of all in any event!
For the record, I have always been more likely to tackle 'out of the ordinary' than 'in the ordinary'!
All the best,
DC
Huzzah! Look forward to seeing the troops in full review.
ReplyDeleteHi Sean,
ReplyDeleteIt wont be too long but some of them are missing - they are already undercoated and based!
All the best,
DC
