A Short Interlude....Part 2

Lego Droid Gunship complete with Yoda, Chief Tarful and two combat droids

Yesterday did not quite play out as I anticipated. We currently have our ten year old grandson staying with us and yesterday was his birthday. Amidst vast amounts of general celebrations and opening of presents he reminded me that the above still needed to be built - and that was from the Christmas just gone!

We had a hugely entertaining time making home made pizza for lunch, eating his chocolate birthday cake and building the above which was surprisingly detailed with over 130 steps in its construction.

I shall try and persuade his dad that the Millennium Falcon for Christmas this year would be an excellent idea.....

Nan and Grandad complete with Grandson and a chocolate cake large enough to have its own post code.

I was not able to get to the great Avalon Hill Jutland counter punching session I promised myself but you know what, they will still be there later. Sometimes our hobby takes second place - occasionally for dreary stuff but also for important things. Like celebrating a 10 year olds birthday, eating pizza and chocolate cake and building Star Wars Lego models.

The counters can wait a day or so.

  1. David,

It sounds like it was a day well spent!

I intended to do some painting this morning, but in the end I helped clean the house. The painting may get done later ... or it may have to wait until tomorrow.

    All the best,

    Bob

  3. Hi Bob,

It was a great day and most welcome given everything else that is going down at present.

It will be decorating for me next week (wrong kind of painting for the most part)! In the meantime though I shall resume work on the Del Prado collection.

    Take care and stay well,

    DC
