I need to add this back to the project list - if only so as I have a good excuse for revisiting the Hemingway title of the same name as the title of the post!
This is a long running and continuing journey around a collection of ideas, projects, games, models and a variety of wargaming related themes from my own imagination and from others. As I have been described as having the attention span of a forgetful goldfish you can rest assured the resulting subject matter will be diverse and (usually) entertaining! "He lived in a frenzy of enthusiasm — but nothing lasted for long with him".

For Whom the Bell Tolls
I finally remembered exactly what I had purchased the two Renault FT17 kits for...............it was of course for the Spanish Civil War. I was really into this period a couple of years of ago (or rather, I amassed a number of books and rule sets with a view to gaming it at some point) but abandoned it as I was unable to drum up any support at the club. In the light of certain rule developments over the last year or so I could revisit it quite easily on the same scale figure wise as the Balkan Wars. Even the naval side is of interest although, like the Balkan Wars, it was a relatively low level affair in terms of numbers. All the major vessels are available in 1/3000th from Navwar as well.

I have of of those Renaults too, which I recall you kindly donated when I visited the UK. Its in a big box of VSF 15mm project stuff. A project which I must admit hasnt seen light of day for some time....
That was in the Matchbox kit with a Char B IIRC. The 2I have are from Hat Industrie and are much simplified versions. You got two in a box and they also produced the variant with a Hotchkiss MG instead of the 35mm. Great kits for gaming with - very much a wargames standard rather than a modelling one!
