Fezian and Rusland Armour Support....Part 2

Mad, bad and dangerous - but to whom?!

As promised (and for the benefit of the treadheads amongst us!) above is the picture of two of the newest additions to the collection being acquired for the great Fezian Rusland war of 1935 - a T28 and a T35. I have two of each of these and they are lovely models. They certainly look impressive enough and I was somewhat taken aback by the sheer size of the T35 - it is huge!

There is a minor amount of assembly to be undertaken with these - including the rail around the top of the turret - and of course they will need a paint job in due course. At the moment I am leaning towards Rusland using T35s and BT5s whilst Fezia has T28s, T26s and Vickers light tanks.

Each side will probably have around 10 tanks which will be more than sufficient but will give me a usable variety.

Comrade - you can never have too many turrets!

Could not the forces of Fezia also use some French vehicles like the Hotchkiss and Renault? There is also something to be said for the Somua (mid-thirties) and Char-B which was introduced in 1937. It certainly would add some variety to your armor park.

Very nice - I'd put a few smokestack on them and use them in my VSF armies!

T35's and T28's you cannot get more 'landship' than that!

Hi Tim,

I like the 'wing turret' idea on the T35 - it has a real WW1 battleship feel about it!

They are really nice models - not cheap but lovely all the same!

All the best,

Hi Jerry,

Near as I can find out Turkey (aka Fezia) started out with some FT17s. I toyed with adding some of the other French types but given that I shall not be using that many decided against it BUT, who knows?

All the best,

Hi Paul,

The very same thought had crossed my mind!

Having said that, the basic design would work well in a VSF format.

We shall see!

All the best,

Hi Geordie,

I didn't want the transition from battleships to vehicles to be too extreme so picked some tanks that looked almost like warships to begin with....;-)

They are lovely models and I am looking forward to finishing them - especially as the T28s will have a similar camo scheme to your Polish models.

All the best,

DC
