“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times….”

Exmouth last year.

The Best - After six weeks and a day in hospital (originally planned as for days….) Laurel is coming home today. I am beyond delighted and whilst she still has a way to go in terms of recovery at least she will be her family and will no doubt be whipping us all into shape in her own, inimitable way!

The Worst - the continuing saga of the Ukraine. This is a whole level more scary than anything else we have seen over the years.

David,

Concentrate on the good news; that is something that you have control over … and having Laurel back home with you is the best news that you could have!

As to the Ukraine … well, we are all worried about what might happen, but it’s out of our control. The easiest option is to accept that fact and concentrate on making Laurel as comfortable as possible.

All the best,

Bob

Great news that she is coming home today, which will be great for her and of course for you and the family. As for the situation un Ukraine, it beggars belief:(.

Congratulations to you both on Laurel's homecoming! Hope her recovery continues well.
As to the Ukraine, we can only hope it stops , and we can help with humanitarian causes. If it doesn't stop, above all we must not forget them.
Anyway, great news for today!

I am so pleased for you both.

As for Putin's War I can only pray that the truth will overcome evil.

Hi David,

It was lovely to have a chat with you the other day and great news that Laurel is finally going home. Obviously going to keep you busy for a while and help to keep your mind off the terrible news in Ukraine, it really is depressing.

Take care,
Lee.

I don't imagine that any of us can influence or control the outcome of the war in Ukraine.

So do what Bob said above. Concentrate on the good, Laura is home. Love to you both.
